Is constant Procrastination a challenge in your life?😔
You’re not alone.
I get so many messages on a daily basis where people have trouble doing the tasks that they are supposed to be doing and want to know how to get over this procrastination.
The problem with procrastination is that not only are you not doing the things you know you have to but at the end of the day you feel guilty about it and the negativity starts affecting you.
That self-awareness is a key part of why procrastinating makes us feel so rotten.
⭐The good news is that Procrastination like all other habits can be overcome.
There are several different strategies that are effective in dealing with Procrastination.
But today I am going to share with you one simple strategy that I find myself using often and also sharing it with my clients who love the results.
💥So without further delay, here it is: Temptation bundling!
To explain in simple terms, this strategy suggests that you bundle a behavior that is good for you in the long-run with a behavior that feels good in the short-run.
Let me give you an example. If your goal is to exercise regularly and you find yourself procrastinating, then you can bundle this with some other habit that is tempting to you.
Perhaps you love 🎧 listening to a particular podcast. So you can bundle this with the habit of exercising.
You tell yourself: I will listen to the podcast ONLY when I exercise.
This will give you immediate gratification for doing something that you want to build as a habit.
You can combine any of your favorite “reward” activities 💃 to build the new habit.
Get creative!😍
My favorite temptation bundling is 🤩 watching Netflix shows only when I am doing a household chore like ironing or folding clothes.
That way I get to watch my show as well as get things done!
✅Type “Cool Hack” if you plan to implement this in your life and stop procrastinating.
